Background

During the 1970's my grandparents John and Margery Fricker made classical guitars and lutes in their basement shop. My grandfather did the workworking and my grandmother made the finishes. These instruments were sold privately to musicians and dealers. A few instruments have survived the times and if you own one or are interested in them please contact me, John.Fricker+guitars@gmail.com.

Known surviving guitars

Several guitars are known to survive including the first that they made.

A 1973 classical guitar was spotted on SFBay Craigslist on April 7, 2012. The guitar has his distinctive sound hole. The same guitar has popped up on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/John-Fricker-Classical-Guitar-Solid-Brazilian-Rosewood-Back-and-Sides-/120994642430?pt=Guitar&hash=item1c2bd7b9fe and it may be the last guitar not owned by the family.
